PURPOSE
Seattle's Sleepless offers singles in the Puget Sound area an environment for friendships, fun, and adventure, while providing an array of new events and activities in a friendly social atmosphere. Our membership is especially for the 50+ age range.
HOW DID SEATTLE'S SLEEPLESS SINGLES BEGIN?
The 1993 movie "Sleepless in Seattle" inspired a well-known Seattle columnist, Erik Lacitis, to write a series in The Seattle Times about being single in Seattle. This generated an overwhelming response by single people looking for new ways of getting together. Our first major event was a dance called "Solo
No More in 1994" with 1,000 singles attending. Seattle's Sleepless has since become one of the strongest and most successful non-profit singles organization in the Seattle area.

What a great way to meet others for planning activities like movies, dining, sports, the arts…you name it. I have experienced new activities which I would not have taken the initiative to do alone."
- "Being a quiet guy, I found it refreshing and comforting to have women approach and welcome me into the group by initiating the conversation."
- "At Seattle's Sleepless I am finding many choices of things to do - why did I wait so long to take this step to join in on the fun?"
